Walking Trees

This uplifting and visually immersive new picture book was inspired by a project called Bosk (meaning “forest”), created in the Netherlands. A reminder that we can change the world, one tree at a time!
Urban trees are a matter of social justice—they make public spaces more walkable, bikeable and beautiful. A thriving urban canopy reduces a city’s stormwater runoff, improves air quality and a reduction in greenhouse gases, improve pedestrian and driver safety, and bring in higher municipal taxes.
Marie-Louise Gay’s artwork will evolve from a mostly gray palette to a rainbow-colored park, revealed in a breathtaking double-gatefold.
